Plants in the Everglades National Park
A non-vascular is a plant with no vascular tissue. Mayaca fluviatilis can also be called bog moss. Bog mass is extremely helpful to the ecosystem. It creates susbitance and or home for marine mammals. Bog moss's stems have been known to measure several feet long, and are whitish-green color, texture of the bog moss's leaves could be described as velvety, or small pieces of fine thread. Leaves on the bog moss plant only grow to be about 1/4 inch long, and grow in a spiral pattern, packed tightly together. Flowers of the bog mass plant grow on 1 to 2 inch stalks. The whitish pink flowers are small and only grow to be a 1/2-inch-wide.

Gymnosperms are woody vascular seed plant whose not enclosed by an ovary or fruit. The South Florida Slash Pine can reach 100-120 feet high and can be as wide as 2-4 feet. The wood of this tree is used for railroad ties, fuel, and lumber. Although taking anything out of Everglades National Park is illegal. Many animals use trees like this from shade and some birds rest in the branches.

The tree can be used to provide a home and shade to other organisms, as well. his plant is eating by some mammals it can be used to make beverages or used with other plants and meats.
